About the Role

Animals Only is an integrative, rehabilitation-focused veterinary and physical therapy practice dedicated to improving mobility, comfort, and quality of life for dogs and cats. We’re seeking a Rehabilitation-Certified Veterinarian who is clinically excellent, collaborative, and passionate about whole-animal care.

This role blends evidence-based medicine with integrative therapies in a supportive, team-oriented environment—no nights, no weekends.

What You’ll Do
  • Practice integrative rehabilitation medicine (conventional and complementary) in accordance with veterinary laws, regulations, and professional ethics

  • Evaluate patients and develop customized rehabilitation treatment plans

  • Prescribe and oversee therapies offered at Animals Only

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

  • Educate clients clearly and compassionately on treatment options and expectations

  • Accurately document medical records using electronic medical record software

  • Collaborate closely with veterinarians, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care

  • Stay current with advancements in animal rehabilitation through continuing education

  • Participate in team rounds, meetings, and training sessions

  • Uphold and help enforce clinic policies, procedures, and standards of care

  • When appropriate, lead, mentor, and train team members in treatment modalities

Leadership & Teamwork Expectations
  • Serve as a positive, dependable leader within the patient care team

  • Effectively manage and delegate to support staff

  • Train and support team members across rehabilitation modalities

  • Foster a respectful, motivated, and collaborative work environment

Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to safely handle, restrain, and lift companion animals of all sizes

  • Ability to assess animal body language and adjust handling to reduce stress

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, jogging, bending, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods

  • Comfort working in a clinical environment with exposure to animals, animal by-products, and potential animal-related injuries

Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, BVSc, or equivalent)

  • Certification in Canine Rehabilitation (DACVSMR, CCRP, CCRT, CRPM, VMRT, or CCRV)

  • Active state veterinary license in good standing (maintained throughout employment)

  • Minimum 1 year of small animal rehabilitation/physical therapy experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced veterinary setting

  • Strong communication, leadership, and time-management skills

Job Details
  • Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Relief

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts. No nights. No weekends. (Yes, really.)

  • Location: In-person

  • Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and availability

  • Benefits: based on full or part-time position): 401k (with company match), professional membership and insurance allowance, paid time off, paid holidays
